ROHINGYA

SHARE from WardinaSafiyyah.

FIRST: There is a huge difference between ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES. WE must understand this.
Again... let's acknowledge Malaysia have already been receiving Rohingya refugees. This time around the surprise came after their boat was turned away while them being in a terribly desperate condition. No one is denying Malaysia's aid all this while although we have major room for improvement in terms of care for refugees. We must acknowledge this. We are thankful and relieved they are given aid in Langkawi. These are people, human beings, some children and women in extremely desperate conditions. We also must acknowledge there is much more to do with regards to rights of these refugees in Malaysia. The children need education. The men need to provide for their families. We must crackdown on human trafficking because we know there are evil people out there taking advantage of these poor people. We must protect the young girls and women. We have a duty as human beings to do so.
The argument about an increase in crime because of foreign workers is an old argument (not supported by solid statistics) used by even the western countries to scare people about foreigner and immigrants . There are some crime by migrants but majority of them come for work and only small number turn to crime (most crime are caused by local population) and the cause of crime is mostly because of poor social care, lack of jobs, economy collapsing , corrupt police, corrupt government, family factors etc - multifactor
: Also the increase in disease because of refugee used often to scare people about refugee- there are several studies in public health especially conducted in Africa - it's a case by case basis. At most there is a minimal increase in incidence of communicable disease , but majority of studies show no evidence that refugee arriving to a country cause a rise in disease(either they arrive in neighbouring African country or western country) there should be proper screening but again no evidence .

some comments and good recommendation to be shared too:

1)
"O son of Adam, I asked food from you but you did not feed Me.' He would submit: 'My Rab, how could I feed You and You are the Rubb of the worlds?' He would say: 'Did you not know that such and such a slave of Mine asked you for food but you did not feed him? Did you not realize that if you had fed him, you would certainly have found (its reward) with Me? O son of Adam, I asked water from you but you did not give it to Me.' He would say: 'My Rab, how could I give You (water) and You are the Rab of the worlds?' Thereupon He would say: 'Such and such a slave of Mine asked you for water to drink but you did not give it to him. Did you not realize that if you had given him to drink you would have found (its reward) with Me?”’ (Muslim)

Mungkin Malaysia boleh ambil contoh dari Eropah macam mana dorang handle refugee yang datang negara mereka, Eropah not the best country in handling refugee , but still their concern of human right menyebabkan jumlah refugee yang nak landing ke negara mereka mejoritinya diterima oleh Eropah.
