Ok kita gabung 3 part ni altogether in just one posting sebab plot ceritanya berterusan walaupun sets in different places.
I can see yang author sgt particular dalam part explanation.. Every. Single. Thing. Kalau nak tahu detail, korang kena baca buku ni sebab i wont rewrite dalam posting.. Cramp jari oii.. Plus i respect the author. Hehe.

[PART 2 : Elle]

So, to cut it short,  dalam Part 2, setiap hari Khamis, Elle akan pergi ke rumah Datin Carol Tai for Bible study luncheon, yg join the meet up adalah Daisy, Lorena & Nadine.
Ila just skip part ni sebab diorang study sikit lepastu banyak converse on jeweleries, travel, gossip and macam2 lagi.

Dalam conversation tu, Elle and the ladies asyik sebut and refer Best jewelleries comes from Burma padahal dah 20 tahun nama negara Burma tu bertukar kepada Myanmar.

Daisy : Ladies,  you need to stop called it Burma. Its been called Myanmar for than 20 years now.
Elle : Alamak!  You sound like Nicky. Always correcting me!

And you know this aunt-preneur(makcik bawang) apa lagi gosip hangat pasal Nick lah!

Diorang sibuk tanya Elle pasal plan Nick jadi Best man utk wedding Colin and who is the guest yang Nick akan bring in home.

Elle puzzled gila. Dia memang tak tahu apa & admit sendiri.

Elle : But you know my son -- I'm always the last to know anything.

Tiba-tiba, time diorang nak sambung gosip lagi, husband Datin Carol masuk dalam ruangan diorang. Si aunt-preneur cakaplah pasal perempuan Taiwan ni (sokseksoksek). Si Dato' tu selamba je cakap Taiwan girl is lovely.  Padahal si Elle and the ladies memang tak setuju gila. Diorang lebih percaya yg Taiwan girl adalah kaki kikis/gold digger. **They are guessing that Nick's gf is Taiwanese.

Sebelum gosip berlanjutan, Dato' Tai tu terus bagitahu pasal saham dekat Sina Land tengah jatuh merudum.

Terus gelabah semua org!  Call broker masing-masing & shorting the shares.

Datin Carol bertafakur, dia berdoa kuat2 supaya God save and bless all her friend. Elle amenkan tapi dalam masa yg sama dia berdoa ' A Taiwanese girl. Please God let it not be true.. '

[PART 3 : Rachel]

For this part, author explain yang every night Rachel akan call mom dia, Kerry Chu sebelum tidur.
Ok cop!  Both Rachel dgn Nick ni academician taw. More like profesor (or mgkin pensyarah)  kot. Rachel is Chinese-American and mom dia broker hartanah (kot.. Hahaha)

Mak Rachel ni macam hold up hopes and expectation yg tinggi towards this two lovebird (Rachel x Nick) lagi-lagi time Rachel bawa Nick balik rumah masa Thanksgiving ceremony.

Compare mak Rachel dengan mak Nick, mak Rachel sangat terbuka termasuklah part sleeping arrangement. Selamba je dia cakap anak dia dah 2 tahun couple dgn Nick tapi sampai skrg tak move in together. Lol!  A typical American.

Rachel bagitahu mak dia pasal plan Nick ajak dia ke Singapore & mak Rachel apalagi bersorak lah! Cecepat Rachel suruh mom dia stop the excitement and focus on what yg dia nak sampaikan.

Kerry : Trust me, every Asian woman loves free gifts.
And Rachel be like : Don't worry mom. I'll take care of it. 🙊🙊

[PART 4 : Nick]

Nick macam takleh brain. Seriously dia macam bingung bila Rachel piled up questions yang pada dia macam,

Nanti kat sana kat mana tempat for staying? Nak bagi hadiah apa?
Apa yang Nick share pasal dia dkt family?

Nick seolah-olah nak cakap pada Rachel 'come on overthinking sangat ni' tapi tak sampai hati. **at the same time, author explain details how much Nick adore her gf. Phewww!

Disebabkan itu, Nick terus teringatkan conversation dia dengan Astrid last week ago bkaitan dgn plan to invite Rachel back to Singapore.

Astrid : Come on Nicky!  This is not ' just a summer holiday'!  Thats not how woman think and you know it!

And korang dah boleh guess kenapa Rachel perlu overthinking.. Nervouslah dia sebab nak jumpa family Nick as in maybe family-in-law in future (lol!)

Tapi kt sini jgk ada part yang Nick sebenarnya tak bersedia pun untuk get married and commit.
Errr.. Geram sikit.

Astrid : Nicky, how much does she know?
Nick : About what?
Astrid : About our family.
Nick : Not much. You are the only one she met.....

Wuuhuuuuu!  That will be cliffhanger guyssss!
Hahaha..

How come you dunno about your bf's family even after 2 years? Looks like they actually dont even have any planning to end this relationship with marriage or is it they really put on respect gap towards each others private life?  🤔
